Ricard Huguet has deep experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, and team building methodology. Ricard started his career as Chief Information Officer of Competitiveness, a boutique consultancy specialized in the development of competitive business clusters. In 1998 he became Healthcare Services Manager with CSS, a fund-raising consulting and management firm. From 2000 to 2003, Ricard was Business Consulting Regional Manager at Software AG. In 2003 Ricard was appointed Innovation Director for the City of Barcelona. In this role he was responsible for promoting innovation within the city, to help bring visibility to the existing innovation, and to build networks of innovators.
In 2006, Ricard founded Invenio and is currently Founding Managing Director of Invenio learn.by.doing that collaborates with companies and institutions to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, talent, and creative values. To date, Invenio learn.by.doing has trained more than 250.000 people with its unique learn.by.doing approach, based on leveraging certain LEGO methodologies. Ricard is Vice-President of the MIT Alumni Club of Spain, and President of Scientia Foundation, a partner foundation to Dean Kamen’s FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Ricard holds a Master in Technology Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
